The collaboration between SciEd and the local initiative “Klas Inspirasi Jambi” (inspiring class) was very successful.  Three scientists gave lectures in different classes (3, 4 ,5 and 6th grades) in Indonesian schools (Jambi, Sumatra).


  • Rico Fardiansah (Indonesian) gave lectures about insects: How to identity them? What make them so interesting and beautiful? Children could have their first look in a microscope !

  • Nadjia Mehraban (German) gave lectures about nutrition and welfare.

  • D. Clara Zemp (French-Swiss) gave lectures about forests around the world: What makes them different? Why do we need them? Scientific material were used as patterns for colorful drawing of animals in forests.
