Georgia is definitely one of the most hospitable countries in the world. With the population of around 4 million people, this country had big influence on the culture of many countries around the region.
Nowadays associations and researchers, working in Georgia are trying to teach about environmental problems, health and educational problems (including SDGs).
The main problem in Georgian Public schools is the fact that there is no co curriculum program. Meaning that children don’t get individual support that they need, and are not engaged in any informal education programs. Also, most students dislike science or don’t understand why they need to learn it. This explains why STEM subjects are the least popular amongst students.
We believe that the situation can be changed, if we involve more researchers in the programs of teaching at schools. Researchers, who can explain about the STEM subjects with interesting illustrative examples.
