In August 2018, 6th, Liubov Tupikina gave a lecture about applications of mathematics in astronomy for the participants of Balanpalar summer school in Russia (Caucasian region). The format of online lectures is quite challenging, although it allows children to meet scientists around the world despite the geographical distance between them.
D. Clara Zemp and her Indonesian colleagues organized an outreach activity with an elementary school in a village in Sumatra, Indonesia. The fifteen pupils were so enthusiastic about learning to recognize common and useful trees. Their leaf drawings will serve as scientific posters back in school.
